Can coca leaves and Mount Everest go together? You bet! Coca tea leaves are well-known for helping to avoid high altitude sickness, acute mountain sickness or simply AMS.
Hermann Buhl
Hermann Buhl’s climbed successfully Nanga Parbat mountain way back in 1953. This 8000 meter mountain in the western Himalayas has taken many lives. As many as 31 mountaineers and climbers died climbing Nanga Parbat and never made it back down. The biggest loss of lives was in 1934 when 10 climbers died while trying to conquer Nanga Parbat. Coca Leaves & Mount Everest should be in every climber’s vocabulary.
Every mountaineer needs to research about the benefits of coca tea.
Many others have tried climbing Nanga Parbat but none were successful until came along Hermann Buhl. Buhl was only 29 years old from Austria. He had a faulty crampon and did not have any supplemental oxygen. Hermann Buhl was climbing solo so there were no Sherpas to help him. In fact, he did not have any modern day climbing equipment that many climbers use today.
Medicine For Survival
When Buhl was dissenting, he ran into some serious trouble and had to spend the whole freezing night stationary in a notch below the actual summit. He was in a bad shape, coming in and out of consciousness. Then, as he finally came to, (as he wrote in his own book) “Nanga Parbat Pilgrimage”, he recalled that he had some medicine with him. Hermann Buhl had packed with him methamphetamine pills, named Pervitin.
Desperate to survive, he wrote: “It was my only chance to survive; its brief renewal of my strength might last long enough for me to get down to the tent of this mountain.”
To those who don’t know, Pervitin is basically a prescription amphetamine. German, Austrian and other European climbers knew that it can give them superhuman energy and focus during times of extreme stress and fatigue. Pervitin was given out during World War 2 to German soldiers.
Hermann Buhl took two tablets. To save his limbs from frost bite, he ended up taking a blood-flow promoting chemical called Padutin. And while here at Coca Tea Express we do not promote the use of illegal drugs that can harm health. However, in certain conditions, when climbing above 8000 meters, one simply has no other choice. To save their life in the mountains, a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do!
Key Natural Ingredient
Coca leaves & Mount Everest as well as many other 8000 meter mountains should require mountaineers to use coca tea when attempting the life or death challenge.
And what is even more interesting is that there are reports that amphetamines do not work at high altitude like they would normally. An article titled “The Team That Summited Everest Dosed Two Sherpas With Amphetamines” explains what happened when two Sherpas were given a powerful amphetamine by the Swiss mountaineers. To cut it short, it helped with their cough and helped them sleep better, no mental focus or energy benefits at all.
But what could possibly REALLY saved Hermann Buhl’s life was coca tea leaves.
You see, he also was drinking large amounts of coca tea from his thermos. Coca tea is the best natural medicine to help relief AMS and high altitude sickness. People in Peru and Bolivia have used coca tea to help them thrive in the harsh Andean mountains for over 5000 years.
In the end, the famous mountaineer Hermann Buhl made it down the mountain alive. He conquered the killer summit Nanga Parbat. And he makes it clear in his book titled “Nanga Parbat Pilgrimage”, if he didn’t have coca leaves and other medicine, he would not have survived the descent down the killer summit.
To your health and success,
