Coca Tea Peru Borders Update

A quick word about the coca tea Peru borders update and stock situation in our United States and Australian warehouses here at Coca Tea Express.

Current Situation in Peru & Bolivia

As you all know, Peru has closed their borders over 3 months ago. Currently, Peru is likely to open borders by the start of July at best, at worst possibly August-September.

This means that there may not be any new coca tea stock in US for a few months or more.

We still have a small number of tea bags in our US warehouse ready for shipping. This is important to coca tea Peru borders update.

In Australia, we will be getting some more Premium coca tea powder within a week and we also have shipments of our 3X Triple Strength coca tea powder. This is from our reserves.
We also have limited coca tea bags available.

As you can expect, we will raise prices for coca tea powder in Australia until this turmoil is over.

We Are Doing Our Best

Situation in Peru and Bolivia is dire and coca farmers as well as other food farmers have been in lock down isolation for the last 3 months. Coca leaves have been literally dropping to the ground with no one available to harvest them.

All farmers have been forced to stay at home for over 3 months. This means that there will be very limited amount of new coca leaf being available even after Peru re-opens their borders towards the end of this year.

While local parcel deliveries in United States and Australia have not been much affected, international parcels experienced a dramatic delays. This is because most borders around the world have been closed since mid March and most airports were also put into lock downs.

We hope that towards October things to start really improving, particularly USPS, Australia Post and international post in general. Coca tea imports from Peru into United States should once again happen frequently. This will make sure that we can go back to doing bulk orders for our valued Coca Tea Express customers.
