Sacred Plant

Coca has been a sacred plant in Peru and Bolivia for over 5000 years. This is for a good reason.

Incas conducted religious ceremonies with coca leaf. Initially, only the royalty and high priests were allowed to enjoy coca tea.

The common people were forbidden from eating and drinking coca leaves. However, over time the popularity of coca leaf has spread and now was common in South America.

The locals used it to treat everything and anything, and it worked.

Coca leaves are useful for pain relief, energy boost and weight loss.

Today, coca tea and coca leaves are sold all around Peru and Bolivia, you can also find it in Colombia and Ecuador.

I had some coca tea bags with me on airplane last year and was OK, I only had 10 coca tea bags though so wasn’t much. I wouldn’t risk 100 +.
