benefits of coca tea

Benefits of coca tea and its use has been well observed by the ancient people of Peru and Bolivia for over 3000 years.

Coca tea is made by combining the dry leaves of the coca plant and hot water in a cup. This creates an infusion of energy-boosting coca alkaloids (there are 14 alkaloids).

benefits of coca tea

They all work together to boost energy, stop headaches, stop hunger and promote weight-loss. Another term for coca tea is mate de coca. This tea is green to yellow in color and tastes very similar to green tea.

Along with energetic coca alkaloids, coca leaf tea is also full of many beneficial nutrients such as vitamin C, vitamin E, and a host of B vitamins for energy production.

Benefits of Coca Tea

Coca tea is very beneficial for many illnesses and medical conditions. Those suffering from high altitude sickness, stomach problems and tiredness will greatly benefit from coca leaf tea. For those people who have re-occurring colds and flus, obesity and chronic constipation coca tea will be of great help. And finally, people who experience indigestion, suffer from diabetes, high/low blood pressure and high cholesterol will find relief thanks to coca leaves.

Coca Leaves Boost Natural Energy

This tea is highly regarded first and foremost as a natural stimulant that gently provides an energy kick to those who need it. For those who suffer from chronic fatigue, narcolepsy or tiredness in general this potent drink can significantly boost your energy levels and wakefulness. And unlike coffee, you will not suffer from insomnia. Benefits of coca tea are far and wide.

Promotes Weight-Loss

By chewing coca tea powder, it directly suppresses the appetite and junk food cravings. This is highly beneficial for those who are trying to burn fat and lose weight. On top of that, the broad range of B vitamins found naturally in coca tea leaves have been shown to boost the metabolism. A fast metabolism increases the body’s natural weight-loss ability. In short, coca tea helps people eat less and burn more fat and calories during their day. Weight-loss and fat burning are the true benefits of coca tea.

Coca Tea Powder Benefits Digestion

For thousands of years, coca tea was used to settle any stomach aches and pains. The Incas would chew the leaves to sooth a sore stomach, alleviate cramping, bloating and period pain. Many people would just simply drink coca tea. Coca leaves can stop headaches, nausea, tooth aches, vomiting, as well as diarrhea which helps the body to stay hydrated. The many benefits of coca tea.

Natural Diabetes Medicine

Thanks to many minerals and vitamins such as iron, calcium and magnesium, coca leaf tea is highly beneficial for regulating healthy blood sugar levels. Before using coca tea to fight diabetes, please check with your health-care professional.

Boosts Immune System

Research has shown that those who consume coca tea on a regular basis tend to have fewer colds and flu. This is largely due to the many alkaloids and natural vitamins found in the leaves. Benefits of coca tea are abundant. Antioxidant properties of vitamin C, in coca leaves, boost the production of white blood cells that help to stop and prevent infections inside the body.

Coca Tea Leaves Adaptogen Benefits

Sick with altitude sickness high in the Andes? You need coca tea. Living in the mountainous regions of Peru and Bolivia, the locals have adapted to using coca leaves to fight the nasty effects of this health condition. If you don’t want headaches, nausea, puking your guts or lethargy, then you can either take a pharmaceutical drug called Diamox or simply chew or drink coca tea. Coca leaves help people to adjust to high elevation and stop the nasty side effects. Benefits of coca tea are just getting better and better.

Stops Cocaine Addiction

Coca leaves stop cravings associated with cocaine addiction. Chewing coca tea powder helps the addicts to gradually break the cocaine habit once and for all. Chewing Coca Leaves – The Good, The Bad and The Truth

chewing coca leaves

How To Chew Coca

I’ve had many coca tea lovers ask me about chewing coca leaves, how to chew the powder, with bi carb soda or llipta, how to make coca tea taste nicer, how long to chew, where to put coca tea powder, and many other questions. This article about coca leaves chewing and it’s dedicated to those individuals.

First things, first. If you think that coca leaf has little to do with the body’s absorption of natural cocaine alkaloids then you are completely wrong. When you mix coca tea powder with sodium bicarbonate, and then place it in your mouth, the saliva thoroughly mixes with coca leaf powder creating a reaction. Over 14 naturally occurring alkaloids, including cocaine are quickly released and easily absorbed through the mucous membranes of the mouth and into the bloodstream.

Cocaine Link

Don’t kid yourself, this a fast and very efficient extraction process.  You don’t need any highly sophisticated lab, or a chemist to enjoy the effects of coca leaves chewing. That numbing sensation that many people come to enjoy in their mouth (no pun intended). That is the natural effect of the cocaine alkaloid, it’s a local anesthetic, it numbs the mouth.

The central nervous system is also stimulated by coca leaf chewing. If you are chewing enough coca leaf powder with bi carb soda over a course of 20-30 minutes, you can get plenty of natural cocaine alkaloids absorbed. This can be a very powerful experience for some.

Traditional Chewing

Personally, I have enjoyed chewing coca leaves with many indigenous people from Peru. I have had good relations with them and could even call them my friends. These people were very respectful of this whole chewing process and they highly regarded their relationship with Mamma Coca. They would normally add 1 or 2 whole leaves at a time (1/4 of a teaspoon) to what they already were chewing in their mouths.

When I followed the same pattern and chewed coca leaves this way, I felt wonderful, energetic, yet calm and peaceful but, not exactly high. I didn’t want anything on top of my already blissful coca feeling, a mild buzz if I may call it.  In other words, I was content with chewing a little bit of coca one bit at a time.

Chewing Coca For High

And this is where we get to the “coca high” part. If one was to quickly chew 2-4 huge mouthfuls of coca powder with bi carb soda, letting saliva slowly build up in their mouth while adding more and more after every 10-15 minutes and then constantly chewing more and more powder, this would produce a very different effect. If one keeps at it and greedily chews, as mentioned above, a liberal amount of cocaine will be released and absorbed, with all the expected euphoria and other speedy effects associated with snorting the purified version of coca leaf.

I must admit I have done this on a number of occasions for “science”. When I chew coca leaves in this manner, rather than being happy and satisfied with an energy boost and mental focus and experiencing a lack of wants, all I want to do is chew more powdered coca leaves. Just a little more, that one big teaspoon… It also tends to make one sexually aroused. You will also feel wired, and this is not a great thing if you want to relax and go to sleep. If you have a lot of work ahead then it may actually help you stay awake for a few hours or more.

Not Addictive

For me, chewing coca leaves in large amounts, as mentioned above, never posed a problem. That is if you disregard the lack of sleep from the night before that is (that’s as bad as it got for me). And for most people, even with large amount of aggressive coca chewing, there won’t be any issues. It’s not addictive and I don’t want it the next day.

However, I still feel that it’s important to let people know, even for the very experienced. If chewing is done in this highly aggressive manner and on a regular basis, it is indeed sometimes harder to control. Like with everything in life, moderation is key.

Respect The Leaf

Use this unique plant with respect and restraint and everything will be good. It is a medicinal plant after all. There are many great reasons why the Incas and other native people of Peru and Bolivia consider coca as a sacred plant. Use it greedily, and go over the top and you might not find the same kind of positive and gentle experience.

And lastly, if you want to actually enjoy the taste of coca leaves while chewing, simply add a few small fresh or dried mint/spearmint leaves. You may also add a stevia tablet to make it sweet.

To your health and success,

Alex

Coca Leaf Wine – Vin Mariani

May 4, 2019 By Coca Tea Express 11 Comments

Wine That Took Europe By Storm

Coca leaf wine making – Vin Mariani goes a long way back, it’s a century old recipe. Popes, queens and many famous writers and other prominent personalities have enjoyed coca wine in the past. Ulysses S. Grant, Jules Verne, Thomas Edison, Queen Victoria, Henrik Ibsen and Pope Leo XIII all enjoyed Vin Mariani. Pope Leo XIII actually starred in an advertisement for Vin Mariani, the coca leaf French wine which was highly popular in the 19th century. Pope Leo famously kept a flask of coca wine with him whenever he ventured out. He loved coca wine so much that he awarded its creator, Angelo Mariani, with a medal of appreciation for all his efforts. Coca wine was like liquid gold.

Researching Coca Tonic

Back in my early days when I was educating myself about coca tea and it’s effects. And after discovering that natural coca tea powder does not have the same side effects and dangers as pure cocaine, I bought myself some coca tea powder on the Internet. During my wait for the coca tea parcel delivery, I researched some more about cocaine and it’s pharmacology. The information which I found stated that when cocaine is combined with alcohol, it forms a more potent and longer-lasting byproduct called cocaethylene.

Cocaethylene as mentioned before, lasts longer and produces a more pronounced mental focus, energy and buzz. After doing some calculations, I worked out that 2 grams of coca leaf powder per ounce of wine would make about 8 milligrams of natural cocaine alkaloids per ounce of coca tea wine. I don’t touch cocaine and do not recommend anyone else to try it. It’s dangerous and should not be used. However, for scientific research, it is interesting to note that regular street cocaine is often very impure. While 250 to 300 milligrams is not a lot, it is equal to 1 gram of common street cocaine.

vin mariani

Angelo Mariani

Paolo Mantegazza, an Italian doctor published a scientific paper on the benefits of the coca plant, Erythroxylum coca, in 1859. After discovering Mantegazza’s coca research papers, a French chemist by the name of Angelo Mariani created an invigorating and energy boosting tonic. Mariani took some French wine and infused it with 6 mg of coca leaf per ounce. Angelo Mariani advertised coca wine for many medicinal uses. As a digestive aid, aperitif, natural energy booster, and an all round stimulating tonic that was also safe for children.

Coca leaf wine Vin Mariani became very popular in France, eventually spreading to the rest of Europe and to the United States of America. Clever marketing and advertising played a big role in this wide spread of coca leaf wine. The wine marketing campaign relied on many famous artists and celebrities to appear in the ads. As mentioned before, even the Roman pope declared his affection for coca leaf wine claiming that he carried a flask of Vin Mariani when he was out and about. Many doctors and physicians praised the health promoting effects of coca tea wine.

Today, coca leaf-infused wine and coca beer can still be found in Peru and Bolivia. There, locals enjoy it with vibrant health and none of the side effects that come with cocaine consumption.

There are many recipes for coca leaf wine which can be found on the Internet, some sources claiming that 100 grams of coca tea powder mixed with one bottle of red wine is all you need.

To your health and success,

Alex

How to Chew Coca Leaves

May 3, 2019 By Coca Tea Express 6 Comments

how to chew coca leaves

how to chew coca leaves

If you have come to find out how to chew coca leaves the right way, you came to the right coca teashop website.

People in Peru and Bolivia are the traditional coca tea chewers. The whole process is native to South America where coca plants grow naturally in the Andes. Coca leaves are chewed here for their medicinal properties to cure high altitude sickness, boost energy and cure many other ailments.

Even though drinking coca tea will not get you high, chewing coca leaves with sodium bicarbonate can get you pretty wired up and feeling quiet euphoric. This is not the same high as one would experience with cocaine, but if you chew enough coca tea powder within a short period of time (40-60 minutes), you can get a real speedy buzz.

The good thing is that chewing coca leaves is not harmful to your health unlike snorting cocaine. The trick is to know how to chew coca leaves, which is the natural form of coca plant. Cocaine on the other hand is processed with many toxic and volatile chemicals (you can only imagine what it does to the user’s insides). Coca leaves are legal to grow and chew in Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador and Argentina.

Living in Peru and Bolivia

When living in the Andes mountains that have high altitude, the native people have come to rely on chewing coca leaves  to cure high altitude sickness and boost energy levels so they can work all day long. Since they were children, the locals learned how to chew coca leaves to revitalize energy levels. It’s very easy to find coca leaves in Peru and Bolivia because they are practically everywhere. You can find coca leaves at the airports, hotels, shops, markets and supermarkets. In fact, as soon as you land in Cusco, the locals will encourage you to drink and chew coca tea leaves. These whole coca leaves are cheap and plentiful.

Chewing whole coca leaves is different to chewing coca tea powder. What you can do is, remove the stem on each leaf, roll up 3-4 leaves, put them into your mouth and start sucking on them. They call it “coca chewing” when in fact, it’s coca sucking. The traditional way is to hold the leaves on the right or left side of the cheeks (between the gums). Allow the dry leaves to absorb your saliva for the next 5 minutes. You can then add llipta or bi carb soda to “activate” the leaves. Your mouth will become numb within 10 minutes which tells you that coca leaves are “working.”

Health Benefits

Chewing coca leaves is good for you. Since coca is a natural and medicinal plant, your body will thank you it.

Strengthens And Whitens Teeth

Coca laves are rich in calcium and therefore nourish, protect and clean teeth. When chewed with sodium bicarbonate, the effects are multiplied as bi carb soda boosts your body’s alkalinity and fights bacteria and cavities. This leaves your teeth sparkling white.

Natural Energy Boosting Stimulant

When you know how to chew coca leaves, you will unlock the natural stimulating effects that coca is revered for. Chewing coca tea leaves revitalizes your mind and body. When chewed or drunk as tea, coca burns free fatty acids for energy, while at the same time regulates blood glucose levels. This is why coca chewing is ideal to lose weight as the person does not feel hunger when fasting on coca. It also suppresses the appetite, stops thirst, headaches, nausea, lethargy, brain fog and pain.

Highly Nutritious Food

Coca leaves pack a lot of vitamins (C, E, B1 and B2) and minerals (iron, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus and calcium).

Local Anesthetic And Pain Relief

When you chew coca leaves or tea powder with a dash of llipta or sodium bicarbonate, you will feel it working because your entire mouth, tongue and even upper throat will become numb. This feels much like when you are at the dentist. This is great because coca chewing can stop tooth aches, headaches and migraines. Many back pain and arthritis sufferers also find pain relief after chewing coca leaves.

Oxygenates Blood

By chewing coca tea, it allows your body to absorb more oxygen. This is very useful for curing the dreaded altitude sickness that people experience in the Andes. High altitude sickness makes the user tired, have nausea, headaches and lethargy.

Pope Francis Likes It

When Pope Frances traveled to Bolivia in 2015, he  asked specifically to chew whole coca leaves after coca tea was offered. Under the 1961 UN Convention on Narcotic Drugs, coca leaves are banned outside of South America, however, coca can be grown for medicinal and religious use in Peru, Colombia and Bolivia. The natives in Peru and Bolivia treat coca as a sacred plant from God.

In 2009, Coca plant was officially declared a ‘cultural patrimony’ in the Bolivian constitution. Evo Morales, a Bolivian president, who was once a coca farmer, has been campaigning to have coca leaves decriminalized. Coca is not like cocaine, much like trees are not paper. For over 3000 years, South America’s natives have made the most of the coca plant and it’s medicinal use. Coca leaves are an effective medicine and locals appreciate it. Anyone visiting Peru or Bolivia can also enjoy the effects of coca leaves.

Coca Tea Reviews

April 28, 2019 By Coca Tea Express 6 Comments

coca tea reviews

coca tea reviews

Coca tea reviews allow more people to discover the benefits of coca leaves.

Coca tea is a beneficial and medicinal plant that’s a natural stimulant and safe to use for all people. Most of all, coca leaves have been used by people in Peru and Bolivia for over 3000 years. Today, millions of people in South America and across the world still enjoy chewing coca tea powder or making coca tea using an AeroPress tea and coffee maker.

Whole coca leaves are only available to purchase in Peru and Bolivia, however, coca tea powder is available for purchase on the Internet from Australia and United States via Coca Tea Express.

It’s all very straight forward when it comes to coca tea. Coca powder is made from the whole leaves of the coca plant which is Erythroxylum coca var. coca. Coca tea and it’s leaves have been used by the Incas and the ancient people in Peru and Bolivia for over 3000 years. Coca can be harvested up to 4 times per year, making it a great cash crop in the regions. Coca leaves are sun dried and then powdered after picking them manually by hand (never machines) and only contain the natural coca tea ingredients, nothing artificial is ever added.

Furthermore, our coca tea powder only has the powdered soft leaves and never the hard stalks or woody fibers that some cheaper coca tea brands have.

With a busy work schedule and tonnes of pressure to succeed in life, at the gym and still have enough energy to socialize with family and friends, most people will turn to unhealthy mainstream stimulants such as coffee and unhealthy energy drinks, some even opt to take illegal drugs to stay awake. I was never addicted to coffee or Red Bull energy drinks as I was aware of the caffeine’s side effects and how unhealthy it can be to your body. At the same time I was on a quest to find a natural and safe stimulant that would boost my energy levels and focus without nasty side effects and a crash in energy after it’s affects wore off.

Upon reading some coca tea reviews, I was glad to finally find a solution to replace coffee and toxic energy drinks with a healthy and energy boosting coca tea from Peru!

After reading countless of coca tea reviews, I set out to try and chew and drink coca tea just like some people would use coffee, to wake up and boost energy and focus.

Coca tea powder worked so well that I ended up being more alert, getting more productivity and even creativity at my day job as well as when working on my online business. It was that GOOD at boosting my energy levels and keeping me awake when I needed to perform my work duties and be sharp and focused.

When I chew coca tea powder with sodium bicarbonate, I get an energy buzz and euphoria that lasts for over an hour but it’s different to the effects you would normally get from caffeine. For once, coca tea does NOT hurt your stomach with cramps, it does NOT cause jitters or anxiety and there are NO withdrawals like you get with regular coffee drinking.

After reading more coca tea reviews, I found that chewing coca tea powder works more efficiently and much better than drinking it. Coca tea powder absorbs more effectively through the mouth and if you swallow the tea leaves after 40 minutes, nothing is wasted.

I initially started with one heaped teaspoon of coca tea powder mixed with bi carb soda per day, but if I wanted an even bigger energy boost, I would chew two or three heaped teaspoons of coca and it worked like a charm, pure mental focus and energy.

Whenever I head out for work or pleasure, I now regularly keep a small glass jar full of coca tea powder mixed with sodium bicarbonate, so when I am feeling tired, sleepy or simply need an energy boost, I have coca tea available at my disposal.

If you are new to coca tea, then I highly recommend to read through some coca tea reviews about the benefits of coca tea:

Woah…where to begin? The sheer amount of raw power I felt after taking this magical elixir? The surge of energy that coursed through my body the second I swallowed?

Goodness gracious me!

This stuff will empower your body like a hyperactive hummingbird and make your mind buzz like a bee. You will be dashing all around the place with boundless energy, and your thoughts and concentration will be as sharp as a sword. No wonder the government doesn’t want you taking this stuff; it’s too overpowered!

Why would we go back to pharmaceuticals and coffee after experiencing this?

A few things I’ve learned are:

-To chew it at the front of my mouth, because if you chew it anywhere else that area becomes numb, and you can’t swallow properly, and you might accidentally breathe in the coca powder.

-Rinse your mouth with water after swallowing.

-Being prepared for the extreme amounts of energy that will begin surging through your body the moment you eat it.

Five stars.

Seimun Kwon

I made a cup of this wonderful tea and I’m elated. WAY BETTER THAN COFFEE! I live in America but my mother is a 1st gen immigrant from Chile. This tea has inspired me to head up through Arica to Peru this year when I head out to Chile this summer.

Thank you so much Alex, your product is AMAZING!

Blessing to you,

Jeff

Originally I used coca tea for energy at work and because it was different. Now I find the best effect for me is with my head space. I will have a cup of coca tea in the morning for the first week each day then have a break for a few days to a week. Then I just have it Mon to Friday.

If I’m having a low day I will chew a spoon full. I guess when I first started trying the tea it was exciting and a different buzz. Then when it ran out I thought maybe it’s a placebo. Maybe it’s just me. So I like to have it in the house.

After going through divorce and children, doctors, drinking to much, smoking I preferred a natural approach. The medication from the doctors was not pleasant when you stop. Sooner or later the drugs stop working. Each to there own but for me coca tea has been the best treatment for my well being. Though for me it works best if I have breaks and don’t have it everyday for weeks on end.

Peter

Coca tea helped me lose 10 pounds in the first two weeks. I wouldn’t even call it dieting. Coca curbed my appetite for junk food and my weight started coming right off.
I feel great and my energy levels are through the roof when chewing coca leaf tea. Bi carb takes some getting used to as it’s salty but I think I used too much of it anyway.

This tea is great for losing weight.
